A lotus pond in wax. Pink lotuses, lily pads, lotus pods, two little boats and a goldfish are made by hand and set on a sky-blue pool of sandalwood-scented soy wax, with pearl accents, in a large gold urli with a scalloped rim. 580 g of wax and multiple cotton wicks spread a wide, warm glow and a creamy, woody fragrance across the room. Make it the centrepiece of the Diwali table or the pooja room, then reuse the urli for floating flowers, diyas or rangoli colours.
